In 2006, the Salt Lake City-based photography equipment company, Pictureline, presented me the opportunity to test out their Hasselblad 39 megapixel (H3DII-39) during a personal shoot at the May Foundry & Machine Co. I had driven past the foundry a couple times a week for the past few years and was always drawn to its industrial textures and colors.
The Hasselblad turned out to be an excellent choice for this series. The camera was able to pick up fine detail across the shadows of the foundry and produced incredible clarity and sharpness in the images, even when they were displayed and printed.
